- Largest Hospital between Tyler and Houston
- Cross-training from below acute
- $20K Sign On – 12 month commit – Paid at 30 Days *prorated if candidate leaves
- Relocation assistance $5K outside of 50 miles
- Opening up new unit Surgical Tele
- Assisted housing for relocators at a minimal cost per night. Common area with separate private rooms
- Interview and offer process: Sub to Paul > Paul to send to Hiring Manager Ray for review > Ray to call or we book per his availability > Ray to offer within 24 hrs

Position Details
Unit name: 4 different MED/SURG units – Ortho Rehab, Oncology, Surgical Tele, Neuro (stroke non adult sometimes)

- Why is this position open? 10 unfilled – opening another 20-30. Unit was closed during covid, now have a large need for Med/Surg nurses
- Growth and level of acuity – Training offered in acute and different specialties – promote within
- Patient ratio: 6:1
- Self-Scheduling? Yes – if staffed can accommodate
- Experience
- Must have 12+ months RN regardless of LVN credited experience
- Certifications required: BLS
- Education requirements (ADN, BSN): ADN and BSN
- # of positions: 30-40
- Days, nights, mids? Days and Nights – majority Nights
- Schedule : 7-7
- Compensation info:
- Pay ranges: $28.50 New Grad – 6 months $29 – $29.60 1 year $30 – $48.45 (externally PIR MAX most is 17.5 years $45.46).
- LVN 2:1 – paid 2 years LVN to 1 year RN
- Differentials for weekends, nights, etc.: Nights $4.40 from 5pm (must work 3 hours in the shift) & Weekends $1.50 7p Friday to 7am Mon
- Relocation package, how it’s paid out: $5K – must be +50 miles – paid in first paycheck after 30 days
- Sign-On bonus (amount, what’s needed to qualify, how paid out) : $20K with 12 month commit – paid in full first paycheck after 30 days. Prorated if leave beforehand. Sign on only applicable of candidate has not worked at CHI for 12 months.
